Biography
Patrick was born in Hong Kong and came to Newmarket, England in 1969. He was trained a s a Registered General Nurse and worked in the NHS general hospitals for 27 years, through the ranks of staff nurse, charge nurse and nursing officer and assistant director of nursing services and operational manager.
He worked in nursing homes for 3 years and he later became a lecturer at Stephenson College for 8 years. He has been also working part time as an External Verifier, External Moderator, Centre Approval Officer, Examiner and Briefer for a large Awarding Body in UK.
His interest in writing started in the 1990s. He had articles published in Ming Pao Chinese Newspaper in Hong Kong. From 1990s for four years, he had a monthly column in the Siyu, the Chinese Times in UK. His writings were in Chinese and English on the topics of health, the NHS., movies and children stories. He had a short story published in the ‘Paperclip for western England’ and also articles published in the Nursing Times.
Currently, he lives in Cornwall, UK.
